UEFA – Football News

The Norwegian football association is never short of ideas when it comes to promoting fair play and the values it represents. This is demonstrated by the fact that with the assistance of the Norwegian national lottery, it has invited every primary school in the country to organise a fair play cup. The schools have been allowed plenty of room for manoeuvre and are able to decide themselves how they want to organise the competition. Some have chosen to make the fair play cup an integral part of the curriculum throughout the school year, while others have opted to organise matches against other schools to build friendships among children from different areas of town. The only criterion is that the schools apply the basic principles of football and respect the values of fair play. So far, 370 schools have signed up and more are expected to join in.
