Luis Aragones staying – Spanish FA

The Spanish FA have dismissed reports claiming that Aragones has resigned as Manager of the national team of Spain.
Spain stuttered to a 2-0 victory over Latvia in Oviedo on Wednesday night in Euro 2008 qualifying Group F and Aragones was the subject of criticism from the home supporters.
Aragones failed to give a press conference after the game and speculation was rife he had quit. However, the Spanish Football Federation insists its coach is going nowhere.
Luis has said nothing about resigning. Simply, he didn’t want to appear at the press conference, federation spokesman Jorge Carretero told Marca’s website.
Spain captain Iker Casillas has also dismissed suggestions that Aragones has stepped down.
Absolutely nothing has happened, said Casillas.
I don’t know why all this fuss has blown up. He didn’t think it [the press conference] was the right thing and that’s that.
