Honours as a player: 52 Bundesliga appearances (seven goals), four U-21 caps for Germany. Record goalscorer at Freiburg (81 goals).
Coaching career: 1996-1998: Stuttgart (Germany). 1998-1999: Fenerbahce (Turkey). 1999-2000: Karlsruhe (Germany). 2001: Adanaspor (Turkey). 2001-2002: Tirol Innsbruck. 2003-2004: Austria Vienna (both Austria). 2004-2006: assistant coach of German national team.
