Football News – UK

Since 1 July 2007, smoking has been outlawed in all public buildings across Great Britain and this ban includes all football stadiums. As a result, English League One dub Carlisle United has meted out strict punishment to one fan who continued to puff away in the stands. The man, who was spotted smoking on a number of occasions during his team’s home matches, has been barred from attending Carlisle matches for the remainder of the season.
