On 27 May, Nicaragua qualified for the CONCACAF women’s U-20 final round for the first time by defeating Guatemala 3-0 at home in the seconf leg of the Central American Zone Series 2 at the Estadio Municipalidad de San Marcos, therefore winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate and becoming the first Nicaraguan team to reach a CONCACAF final round since its futsal team did so in 2000.
