Win in India with India

The “Win in Africa with Africa” programme was launched in 2005, and FIFA is now also encouraging Indian football to help itself in a similar fashion. The “Win in India with India” campaign, which has been devised in close cooperation with the Asian Football Association (AFC), boasts courses for coaches, referees and club managers to spread information on communications, marketing and doping control, as well as to provide financial support for infrastructure. With that in mind, artificial turf and grass pitches as well as regional technical centers should be operational as early as 2008. FIFA is helping the All India Football Federation with its restructuring process and its efforts to create a professional Indian league. The FIFA President’s Delegate for Special Affairs, Jerome Champagne, is the governing body’s project leader.
