Tim Cahills Brother

Football has humble origins, as was perfectly illustrated in Samoa where the amateur ethos, overwhelming enthusiasm and the pride of the players made it as dramatic as any World Cup tournament.
Chris Cahill, whose elder brother Tim played for Australia in the 2006 FIFA World Cup” in Germany, described it all in a nutshell. Having been born to a Samoan mother, he was invited to play for the host island and even though he had no international experience, he was picked as the team’s captain too. “Just the pride of playing international football, of competing for your country and of making your family proud makes this all special for me,” he said.
