The Manager of Dynamo Kiev quits

Dynamo’s manager Anatoly Demyanenko has resigned his post at the champions of Ukraina.
Following the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Roma in their opening Champions League Group F match, Demyanenko handed in his resignation.
Demyanenko led Dynamo to the league and cup double, but it was his failures in European campaigns that ultimately forced him out of the club.
Dynamo President Ihor Surkis told the club’s official website: I accepted Demyanenko’s request with understanding. It was a hard decision to take. But in the end, he convinced me that he is doing this for the sake of the club.
Demyanenko will be replaced by club vice-president and former coach Josef Sabo, who said: The team, which has a powerful potential, needs fresh ideas, leadership, unity, an understanding of our goals and a responsibility to the fans.
I’m not thinking about the defeat against Roma. The goal for Dynamo is clear – to win the group and take part in the play-offs.
