Oceania Football Confederation

The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) recently held an extraordinary congress in Zurich, Switzerland and Auckland, New Zealand to discuss the finer details of the “Win in Oceania with Oceania” programme. OFC President Reynald Temarii was installed as FIFA vice-president at the 67th FIFA Congress, thereby becoming the first Pacific Islander to hold the office. While excited by his rise to the elite level of the 208-member association body, Temarii was also quick to pay credit to those around him. “It is clear that the quality of work achieved by the OFC executive committee and the OFC staff laid the platform which enabled me to become the first Pacific Islander to ever hold this position (FIFA vice-president). It is a great honour for me and it makes me more motivated to achieve our long-term goals.”
