New Zealand Football (NZF, formerly New Zealand Soccer) recently opened its FIFA Goal project at North Harbour Stadium with OFC President Reynald Temarii, OFC General Secretary Tai Nicholas and FIFA ambassador Christian Karembeu on hand to witness proceedings. New Zealand women’s international skipper and FIFA All-star player Mia Jackman was also there to participate in a charity match featuring Karembeu and a host of former New Zealand internationals. Children from the East Coast Bays junior soccer club also participated in a tournament prior to the formalities as the USD 1 million facility was opened by NZF CEO Graham Seatter and North Shore City Mayor George Wood.
