Klaus Fischer Football School

With 268 goals to his name, Klaus Fischer ranks second behind legendary German striker Gerd Muller in the all-time Bundesliga scoring list. Fischer scored many of his goals with overhead kicks, including one in Germany’s 4-1 home win over Switzerland in 1977 that was later voted goal of the century. Today the former centre- forwarder teaches children overhead kicks and other skills. The Klaus Fischer Football School, where young talents aged between eight and fifteen are initiated into the secrets of the footballing art, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. Fischer, now 57, still performs the overhead kick even now: “The children are forever asking me to show them how to do it. And as long as I’m still fit enough that’s what I’ll do.”
