After an extended absence through in¬jury, Ibrahim Ba has ended his play¬ing career at the age of 35. The mid¬fielder, born in Senegal, appeared in eight “A” international matches for France. He has been under contract with AC Milan since 1997, but has sel¬dom played for the Rossoneri and has been loaned out to various European clubs. Ba played his last official match for Swedish club Djurgardens three years ago. In future, he will work as a talent scout for AC Milan in Africa. “I’m looking forward to my new job as a scout, although it hurts to end my football career. But it’s the right decision. I’ve spent too many long spells out of the game through in¬jury,” said Ba.
