Campino, singer with German rock group Die Toten Hosen, had a painful experience recently. The music star, a dyed-in-the-wool fan of English giants Liverpool, fractured a bone in his foot after kicking a bin. Campino got so worked up about the Reds’ exit from the Champions League in the semi-final against Chelsea that he kicked a public refuse container. The kick had little effect on the concrete-encased steel frame of the bin and afterwards even the singer admitted that the kick had been foolish. “Pain and a broken foot in piaster for several weeks,” it read on the website of Die Toten Hosen. “I’m living proof that 45-year-olds can still feel and behave like 15-year-olds,” said Campino of his mishap.
