Camp Nou stadium

With the Barcelona board planning to renovate the Camp Nou stadium inside and out, 78 companies from around the globe are said to have submitted tenders to undertake the extensive construction project. Many of the club’s fans will be hoping that the seats will also be replaced and, most importantly, made wider. At the moment, the seats are just 41 cm wide, which can make it a very tight squeeze, particularly in winter months when fans come to matches in thick jackets and overcoats. At time like that, space can be at such a premium that one fan has to lean forward while his neighbour sits back. By contrast, there are no such problems on the VIP tribune, where the seats are 65 cm wide.
