CAF – Egypt
The CAF Super Cup will be played between 22 and 24 February 2008, following a decision taken by the CAF Interclub Committee at its meeting in Cairo on 8 November 2007. The Super Cup is traditionally played between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
CAF signed a headquarter agreement with Egypt at a ceremony in Cairo on 7 November with the continent’s governing body represented by President Issa Hayatou, and Hassan Sakr, the president of the national council of sports, representing Egypt. The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Dr Ahmed Nazeef, the Prime Minister of Egypt. The headquarter agreement will be submitted to the next session of the national assembly for approval, which will enable CAF to benefit from all of the privileges granted to a non-governmental international organisation with its base in Egypt.
